Dr. Dharmesh "Dan" Bhakta, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.
PodiatristDr. Bhakta joined the staff at Accent Podiatry Associates in July of 2002. Dr. Bhakta completed his undergraduate work at the University of California at Riverside, majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Mathematics. He then pursued his podiatric medical degree at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California and received his degree in 2000. Dr. Bhakta continued his post-graduate training by completing a podiatric internship at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York that involved hospital and community podiatric medicine. Dr. Bhakta also participated in a podiatric surgical residency at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, New Jersey. He is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot-ankle Surgeons. In additon, he is Wound Care Certified (WCC) by the Woundcare Education Institute. Dr. Bhakta is actively involved in the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association (TPMA) as well. Dr. Bhakta specializes in pediatric foot care, reconstructive surgery, sports injuries, limb salvage and wound care. He also specializes in peripheral nerve disease. www.aens.us In his leisure time, Dr. Bhakta enjoys golfing and helping out in the community.
